All photographs were taken days before refuse collection day in East Oxford, Jericho and the
Botley Road.
Residents know that street bins are emptied more frequently and are therefore using them to
get rid of stinking rubbish from their gardens.
Provided that waste is stored in containers with tight-fitting lids, vermin and smells are
not an environmental health concern (Oxford Recycling Officer)
